We Really Don’t Care

We don’t care.
And I am OK with that because what I am about to talk about has become an epidemic.
And it has to stop.
And social media has made it worse.
Ready?
No one, I mean no one, not even their grandparents, care that your kid has graduated from 2nd grade.
Or 3rd.
Or 4th.
Or 5th.
Etc, etc, etc and etc, again.
12th grade we care. A lot.
Heck, even kindergarten we care.
Other than that.
NO ONE CARES.
In fact, here is how many people care that Katie is moving on to 6th grade.

Did anyone care you went from 4th to 5th?
The only people who did care?
Your parents.
Mom was happy and dad only cared on whether or not he needed to beat your ass if you did NOT move on.
When I went from 7th to 8th, or 8th to 9th, I got no party. I got a mom who probably said to her friends, “Thank God.”
So prepare to get peppered the next few days about “Jack is moving on. From 2nd to 3rd grade.”
And here is our reaction.
