It is situated by the Two Rivers Mansion in Donelson. It is on a lower field that backs up to the mansion’s property. You get there by going down McGavock pike, but you have to turn onto another street. You might hear it before you see it. Now it is not the only happiest place on earth in middle Tennessee but it is the closest one to me.
You can go anytime of the year, anytime of the day and the result is still the same. Absolute pure joy every single time you go there. Once you go in, you will be met with pure love, the kind that you don’t see in every day life, unless you own of these. A dog.
Yes, the happiest place on earth is the Two Rivers Dog Park. Again, there are several in our area but the Two Rivers Dog park is the one I am talking about. Having a bad day, go there. Having a good day, go there. Need to relax and smile, go there. Need to ponder life, go there. Just go there if you get a chance. Even if you don’t have a dog, go there.
Every dog will greet you and that in itself will make you smile. When my dog passed back in 2017, we would go there quite a bit and she would just run and play. After she passed, I would go and just sit and my furry girl would be running all over that place in my memory. It helped so much in the healing of losing her and moving on.
Take a lunch break one day or whatever, and just go sit. Turn off your phone and don’t listen to any radio or music. Just sit there and take it all in. Within seconds when I go, I literally forget all the stressful things going on in my life. It is beyond therapeutic and simply wonderful.
The happiest place on earth. Nothing comes close.
